Monster Madness

There are so many fun Halloween ideas
floating around the blog world lately.

I thought I would contribute to all the fun and
share with you a little Halloween do-it-yourself.
{Except I'm being lazy and giving you recipe cards
instead of doing a step-by-step tutorial.}

The other day I was reading Taste of Home,
{one of my favs} and saw an idea for monster cupcakes.

Totally inspired, I thought I'd try my hand
at it and here is the result:

Meet

Green Eyed Monster

Orange You Spiky

Purple People Eater

Wouldn't these three be perfect for
a Halloween party?!

I am planning on making them again
for our Fall Festival coming up in October.
Except I might have to leave out Mr. Purple People Eater.
His tongue was a pain in the rear end, to put it nicely.
But, definitely a lot of fun to make.

And my kitchen, whoa, it looked like Willy Wonka's
Chocolate Factory after I was finished making these guys.

And the best part...

Noah loved these kooky creatures.
He took a few bites, but his favorite part was taking them
a part and playing with them. Of course. Haha.

It was entertaining to say the least!

And guess what I made for you?
Recipe cards!

So now you can make yourself, um..I mean your kids,
these monsters for some Halloween fun!

Click here to download the recipes.

Enjoy!

Oh my goodness. I can't believe you actually made those yourself. Are you human or a robot? Those are amazing. You got mad skillz. Can't believe you let your kids eat those. I would have gotten them bronzed or something and put them on my mantle.

These are amazing! I'm going to make them for our youth group Halloween party. What kind of food coloring did you use? The colors are so vivid! I want to recreate them well. Thanks for the fabulous idea!

Oh I love these. I was so excited to see that you included a recipe card download because as I was looking through the post I kept wondering what you had used for this and that. But I can't open the file!!! Darn it. I guess I'll just have to admire yours. They are just detestably adorable.

I saw those cupcakes too and thought they were adorable! I only worried that it was a bit too much frosting to be edible, but looks like that wasn't a problem for you guys :) Love the photos!
