Happy 27 Months!

Surprise, surprise I'm three days late posting Noah's 27 month post. But "Better late than never," is my motto. :)

Noah, you turned 27 months on the 27th of November! I can hardly believe it.

You are still in a size 5 diaper, but it won't be long before those size 5's are busting at the seams. Your diapers are getting more and more snug as each day passes.

You are a 2T both in shirts and pants and a size 7-8 in shoe.

You are mesmerized by anything Toy Story. I can't wait to see the excitement in your face Christmas morning. Mommy and Daddy may have gone a little Toy Story crazy this year. :)

You are talking, talking, talking! And it is wonderful; I love hearing your sweet little voice. You are learning new words everyday and I have been amazed at how much your vocabulary has grown this past month. I love all the words you say, but my absolute favorite is when you say "bye-bye." I'll have to post a video of you saying all of your words soon. You are just too cute!

You have quickly learned the benefits of using your step stool. Nothing is out of your reach now. Like the full bag of powdered donuts you {somehow???} reached and emptied for Einstein to eat on the ground. When I came in the living room, there was no doubt you boys were in the donuts. You had white powdered sugar all over your fingers and Einstein's whole face was covered in it as well. Apparently you were leaving Einstein a trail of powdered donuts on the living room floor.

You love when we say our prayers and last night at bedtime when you said your prayers with Daddy, you said "amen" for first time.

You must be going through a growth spurt right now. You are eating, eating, eating! Daddy said this morning you had three bowls of cereal! Then you ate lunch AND dinner too. Not a common occurrence around here.

You had your first push pop the other evening while we were at Target, and you LOVED it! Mommy, ahem Santa, may have secretly grabbed another one to put in your stocking.

You love to play with silverware... particularly spoons. You are always carrying around at least one or two.

You love to yell. Especially when we are in a restaurant. Of course. And when we tell you to be quiet, you yell even louder. You little stinker! However, if we whisper, most of the time you'll whisper back.

You have started to jump up and down now to show excitement about something. It is precious.

You go to sleep at night around 7:30-8:00 pm and usually sleep twelve hours straight. You are still doing so wonderful sleeping in your toddler bed.

You definitely know who your grandparents and aunts and uncles are. You get really excited when you see them.

You LOVE orange juice, and you're not shy about asking for it.

You have learned when you are trouble {to try to get out of it} to stick your arms in the air so Mommy or Daddy will pick you up to hold you. Worth a try, right? Melts my heart every time, even though I have to resist.

You are very curious and what to know what everything is around you. There are so many things to learn!

You love to talk to Mommy and Daddy on the phone-- it is the cutest thing ever. Another thing I must video!

You are very, very ticklish! Mommy and Daddy know all your spots. :)

You are the sweetest boy ever! Happy 27 months little guy!

Love you always,

Bah, Humbug!

It is 11 p.m. and I have been cleaning and doing laundry
since Noah and I woke up from our nap this afternoon.

I cannot wait to bring out all of our Christmas decor,
but not until things are in order around here.
Know what I'm saying?

I still have so much to get done...
All I have to say about that is:

Photobucket

In effort to put off the rest of my cleaning, I decided
to sit down and have a little fun in Photoshop.
It turned out pretty cute, huh? I'm thinking I might
need to make a trip to Walgreen's tomorrow
to print it off so I can add it to my Christmas decor.

If you like it and would like download it,
just click the image above.

Well, I think I'm gonna head to bed. :)
Goodnight!

Back Home

Noah and I are home from our wonderful
Thanksgiving in Oklahoma!

Josh didn't have to work today, so we decided to come
home a day early and spend some good quality time with Daddy.
We sure missed him!

Speaking of Josh, I'm off to snuggle with him
and watch A Christmas Carol. Love that movie!

But before I go, I just wanted to share one of my
favorite pictures from our weekend:

Photobucket

Noah loved Mimi's dress up hats.
{Especially when they were on Mimi and
Mommy's head and not his!}

Noah was wearing his "Woody" pajamas the night we discovered
the hats. So when we found the brown hat, it was a perfect fit.
Of course, he was not in the mood to wear it. But I still managed
to sneak a cute picture before he took it off his head.

He sure is a cute little cowboy!

Oh, and one more thing!
I did survive the craziness of Black Friday {barely!}, and got
Noah's toy for $20 cheaper! Ha. It was quite an interesting night.
Not sure if I'll ever do it again, but it was fun to experience at least once.

Well, this post turned out to be a little
longer than I expected. Oh well. :)

Goodnight!

Wish Me Luck!

The Target doors open at 4 am.

Photobucket

This is my first time to go shopping on Black Friday. I have no
idea what to expect except that it's probably gonna be crazy out there!

I really just have my eye on one thing. It is a Toy Story
seven piece character set for Noah. We bought it a few days ago,
but then I saw it in the ads for much cheaper. So, I'm headed
out to try and save a little money.

But there are no guarantees I'll stick around.
If I see the line out the door, I might just decide saving
$20 is not worth it after all and head back home.

Wish me luck!

What about you? Are you getting out tonight?

Thankful

Things I'm thankful for...

I am thankful for Jesus and for the sacrifice he made for me on the cross. I am thankful for his love, his mercy, his grace. Thankful that he desires a relationship with me and saved me from my sins. I am so undeserving every. single. day.

I am thankful for my little man, Noah. I love him more than words can express. He makes me so proud every single day, every single moment. I love watching him grow and learn new things. I am thankful for his sweet little giggles and thankful for each hug and kiss.

I am thankful at this point in our lives I am able to stay home with Noah. I feel so very blessed.

I am thankful for Josh. He is my best friend, my love, my provider, my blog editor and designer. He is a hard worker and never complains about the load he carries. I am so thankful for the relationship he has with Noah. He is an amazing father and husband.

I am thankful for our apartment. Thankful for the warm beds we sleep in at night. I am thankful for all the comforts we have.

I am thankful for a dependable car and Josh's {kinda} dependable Jeep.

I am thankful for God's provision for our family. Moving to the big city from Amarillo a year and a half ago was not easy. At all. But, God has abundantly provided for our every need and for that I am thankful.

I am thankful for our church family. They have been our support; they have loves and accepted our family. We are so thankful for their friendship. God is good.

I am thankful for Mimi, Granddad, Grammy, and Papa and the amazing grandparents they are to Noah. He will one day realize how blessed he is. I am so thankful for their love and involvement in Noah's life.

I am thankful for my fat little pug, Einstein. As much as he annoys me with his incessant barking and shedding, I can't imagine our lives without him. He is the sweetest, loving, most patient dog ever. He is family and we love him so very much.

I am so very thankful for the friendship I have with Laura. She is such a blessing in my life and I love how we've grown closer over the past year.

I am thankful for Dr. Pepper. There I said it. It's true.

I am thankful for my brothers and sisters and for the good relationship I have with them. I love them all very much.

I am thankful for all of my family near and far.

I am thankful for the trip Josh and I were able to take to Mexico a few weeks ago. It was so refreshing and we came back even closer. It was an amazing trip.

I am thankful for this blog where I can share our life with you. I am thankful I have found an outlet to express myself. I am thankful for each one of you who spend a little bit of your day keeping up with our blog. I am thankful for the friendships I've developed over this past year through blogging.

I am thankful for my camera and a way to capture our everyday life. I am thankful for the interest I've found in photography, and I look forward to seeing where it takes me in the next year or two.

I am thankful for family time. There is nothing better than spending time with my two boys... and of course Einstein too.

I am thankful for date nights.

I am thankful for the part time job I have in the nursery at the hospital and for all the wonderful co-workers I have. I can honestly say I get along with everyone I work with {even the doctors!}. North Hills really is a great place to work.

I am thankful for health insurance.

I am thankful for a good pediatrician we can trust and know in confidence she has Noah's best interest in mind.

I am thankful for my iPhone. I'd be lost without it. :)

I am so thankful for air conditioning during the hot, hot summers we have here in Fort Worth.

I am thankful for good health.

I am thankful for my dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer. We so often take those things for granted. They sure make life a lot easier.

I am thankful for days Josh watches Noah in the morning so I can sleep in. Doesn't happen very often, but when it does it is wonderful!!

I am thankful for so many things. Thank you Lord for all the blessings you pour out on our lives.

What are you thankful for? I would love to hear.

Hope each of you have a wonderful, relaxing Thanksgiving! Safe travels everyone!

Noah's 2nd Birthday!

Wow, I cannot believe I haven't posted about Noah's birthday yet.
I've been meaning to get caught up with posts from summer and early Fall,
but it hasn't happened. The past couple of months have been crazy busy.

Anyway, what a wonderful 2nd birthday we had for Noah! We had
so many wonderful friends and family come and celebrate with us.
We feel so very blessed; we are so thankful to God who has
provided us with an amazing group of friends.
And of course, we are thankful for our wonderful family.

The invites my very talented hubby made for Noah's birthday:

Photobucket

One of Noah's favorite places to go play is Pump It Up.
So when Josh and I were discussing where to have Noah's party,
it didn't take us very long to decide Pump It Up was the perfect place.
We knew he would LOVE it. And he did!

Let me tell ya, this party was super easy to plan.
Almost too easy; Pump It Up did all the hard work.
All we had to do was send out invites and order cupcakes!

Anyway, we all had so much fun playing! I'll
let the pictures do the talking:

You can tell Noah didn't like the cupakes. :)
They were wonderful!! A few of the older kids said
they were the best cupcakes they had ever tasted in their life
{I would agree--they were sooo good}, and they asked if I made them.
I was flattered. I wish.

Special thanks to Haute Cakes and Cookies for the cupcakes!
Wendy was so sweet and very easy to work with. We could not
have been more pleased with her services and would
recommend her to anyone in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

It was a wonderful day of celebrating our big boy's birthday!
So hard to believe how quickly he is growing up. Sniff.
Thank you friends and family for jumping, sliding, and sweating
with us as we celebrated Noah's big day. We love you all.

Happy Weekend!

Are you having a good weekend? Hope so!

We've had a lovely weekend, only it has gone by terribly too fast.
In fact, where has the whole month of November gone?
I cannot believe next week is Thanksgiving?! Goodness.

I have to admit, I'm getting an itch to start decorating for
Christmas. Might not be able to hold off for much longer. :)

How about you? Have you turned on the Christmas music yet?

Anyway, I have some ironing and cookies to bake
before heading to bed, so I better get to it.

Happy Weekend!
