Home Ec Projects # 2 & 3

Have I mentioned I'm addicted to sewing?
Totally addicted.
I.can't.stop.making.things.

Home Ec is the best!
I am learning so much, and
am having lots of fun doing it.

So, today I have two new projects
to share with you!

First up..

Photobucket

I had fun with this project, and I couldn't be
more happy with the way the napkins turned out.

I made 4 single sided & 4 double sided napkins,
but I ended up not following directions exactly {oops}.
I didn't use the ric-rac or zigzag stitches just because
I liked the look of the napkins without them.
{I have been practicing the skills though.. :)}

These napkins took me forever to complete.
I never imagined it would take me two
evenings to finish, but it did, and I was
really, realllly happy to be finished with them.

Aren't the fabrics fabulous?!
Perfect for Fall.

Up next...

This project was so much fun! My favorite so far. Probably
because it only took me one night to complete! Haha.

I must admit though, I almost had a panic attack
when I came to the end of the project and thought I
had sewn up the sides where I was supposed to
pull my ribbon through.

Oh, I freaked.

Then Josh pointed out to me that I was being an
idiot and that the sides were not in fact sewn together.

Anyway, I am having so much fun!
I can't wait to get started on Project #4!

p.s. Have you ever heard of Grooveshark?
I love it!! It is similar to Pandora, but way better!
Check it out.. I'm pretty sure you will love it too!

Your napkins look amazing! The fabric is super cute :)

I also had the same panic with my gift pouch. It all turned out good in the end!

That line was sooooooo funny, Libby! Yes, sometimes our hubby's level-headed thinking is just what we need. : D

Your projects are very impressive! The fabrics are beautiful. I'd almost hate to wipe my mouth on those pretty napkins! Wonder who will be the lucky recipient of a gift in that pretty pouch?

Can't wait to see what you make next. Remember these great project ideas as gift possibilities, cuz Christmas is just around the corner!

Wow! I'm listening to it right now as I surf. My 13 year old daughter told me about it. Those kids!

Awesome job! You're so good at documenting everything! I need to get busy on some other things, but I did make 3 more zipper pouches.

Sorry that I'm late to the game on commenting on these - they're awesome. Love the fall colors. If they were mine, I would almost NEVER use them because they're so nice! Ha ha!
