A January Valentine

Last night while I was grocery shopping at Walmart, I came across another Toy Story toy Noah just had to have. Seriously people, I've got a problem. Every time I spot something Toy Story my body naturally gravitates towards it, and I end up buying it. This time around though I was a good girl and decided I better ask my hubby if I could buy it... especially since I just had the "don't go overboard" lecture before I left. Me? Never! Ha.

Anyway, I spotted this race track toy and knew Noah would just love it. So, I had to think up a good excuse. Hmmm. Oh! Valentine's Day! I knew it would work, so I sent Josh a text with a picture of the toy and told him this toy would be the perfect Valentine's gift for Noah. I got a text a minute later saying, "yeah that's fine." Told you it would work! ;)

When I got home I put it in our laundry area and closed the door. I meant to eventually move it to our closet or somewhere else but forgot. Whoops. Well, guess who found his new toy today?

I just couldn't say no to the little guy once he saw it; he was so excited. So, he got his Valentine's gift a month early. Ha. It's safe to say, he loves it! He even took it to bed with him tonight. :)

That is hilarious! Sounds exactly like me...although my daughter has a strange obsession with Spongebob at the moment...I however refuse to have the the creepy yellow sponge plastered all over the house!

How fun! That last picture is adorable. I love the way he's sitting! Amd I am the exact same way with my nephew and the movie Cars. He loves it so much. Every Cars thing I find, I want to buy immediately! In fact, I got my nephew that exact same race track, but it's Cars.

Oh no! I'm sorry for the "I spy my Valentine's gift!" unfortunate Noah discovery! Now when Valentine's Day actually comes, what will you do for an encore? Ha! You did the right thing letting him have it. Sometimes these things just happen. Buy him a nice card on Valentine's Day. That's all you're obligated to do now. : D Oh, and of course a bit of CANDY!

what a pushover!!! haha just kidding. I am like that with my step son when we go to walmart. He will be like, "jill can I just go look at the toys?". Thats the oldest trick in the book and I still give in!

Haha, cute story! That is actually the same toy that Tom and I bought for a little boy from the angel tree at our church for Christmas this year. I hope he's loving it as much as Noah does! :)

I did the same thing with a Thomas pillow the other day. I bought it for his birthday but decided it was too much to spend and he's not all that crazy about stuffed animals so I went to return it. I actually pulled into the parking lot to return it to the store and decided to see if he wanted it afterall...I gave it to him, and his smile said it all. We drove home with his new best friend the Thomas Pillow. We mom's can be such softies!!

That is a pretty dang cool toy!! And... I find find myself having those same conversations with my Husband before I leave the house to go "grocery shopping at Target". And I have to ask... did you maybe leave the toy out where Noah could find it on purpose? Totally something I would. I won't blame you! :)
