Baby, It's Cold Outside!

Yes, it is. Freeeeezing!

It has been snowing all day long, and ahhh it's been wonderful. How perfect since tomorrow is Christmas day! Josh told me this will be the first white Christmas Dallas/Fort Worth has had since 1926. Wow! How did we get so lucky? The snow started out kind of light earlier today, but within a couple of hours it was really coming down. So I decided to bundle Noah up and let him play around in the snow. I wasn't sure what he would think about playing in the snow and the cold weather, but he loved it! He played and played and played. It was so cute! Here is sweet little Noah and his first snow experience.

Poor baby. He was so cold when he decided he was finished playing. So I started up a bath for him and let him soak and play for a while so he could warm up. Thank goodness for those warm baths!

We have had a quiet {did I really say quiet?} Christmas Eve at home tonight, and I have loved every minute of being with my little guys. We only wish Daddy was home with us, but since we were out of town the past few days, he had to go back to work. Such is life. But we're headed out of town again {this time to Amarillo} on Sunday to see Josh's side of the family, and it's going to be a lot of fun. We are really excited.

Before I say goodnight, I wanted to show you a video called "Down at the Manager." I love this video because it portrays the true meaning of Christmas so clearly. Happy birthday Jesus, our precious Savior.

Josh, Noah, Einstein, and I wish you a very Merry Christmas!

Hitting the Road to Oklahoma

Yep, tomorrow after church we are headed to Oklahoma to celebrate Christmas with my side of the family. We are really excited to see everyone and spend some good quality time together.

But I ask myself? Why, oh why do I wait until the last minute to do laundry & pack? It is 1:28 am and I am still waiting on the laundry to dry so I can pack. Oh well. Someday I'll learn.

Really, I do have a few things I could get done while I wait, so I should probably get off the computer and get busy.

Here are a few pictures taken today from my new camera. Oh, I love it! I just can't stop taking pictures!

Farewell, Pink Camera

You have been good to me the past couple of years.
Yes, many memories you have captured for
our family, and for that I am thankful.
But tonight, with a heavy heart, I say goodbye.

Photobucket

Yes, little pink Nikon, you have been replaced.
You ask why?

This is why:

Photobucket

Don't take this the wrong way.
It's just, well, you are limited in what
you can do. But it's not your fault;
don't feel bad.
It is just time to move on.

Another reason that I'm saying goodbye
is because you are falling a part on me.
Yep, for the past couple of weeks I've had to use
a rubber band to hold you together.

So, farewell Pink Camera.
It's been a pleasure working with you.

Now that I've said my goodbyes, it's
time to introduce you to my new wonderful, fabulous,
{oh, it makes me so happy}
Canon XSi!

Photobucket

I've been eying this camera for
quite sometime, and today, my
{no longer horrible, rotten, and mean}
husband got it for me! Yay!

I've had so much fun playing
with my new camera today.
Thank you sweet hubby of mine.

I'll leave you with little ol' Einstein.
Oh, he's just pitiful.

Goodnight!

Santa Claus is Coming to Town

About a week ago, we went to see Santa Claus at Bass Pro Shop.
Yes, that's right, Bass Pro Shop. We do live in Texas after all.

Photobucket

What a fun night we had together visiting Santa Claus & playing around Bass Pro Shop.
Only 8 more days until Christmas! Can't believe it.

I'm Back!!!

I apologize for my lack of blogging this week. We have been out of town and got back late last night. It's sad to have to visit good ol' Amarillo under such unfortunate circumstances, but it was good to see everyone none the less. Thank you for your prayers for the Bridges family; please continue to lift them up in prayer.

I didn't really take many pictures while we were in Amarillo {mainly because my trusty little pink camera is about to fall to pieces}, but I did manage to get one sweet little picture of Noah and his Papa in Starbucks on our way out of town.

Photobucket

Noah got to have his very first cup of Starbucks coffee before our long trip home. Haha. No, not really. But he did have a cup of Starbucks apple juice, and he loved every sip of it. He loves Starbucks just like his Mommy & Daddy.

Well, I'm gonna call it a night. My little alarm clock {Noah} will be waking me up early, early in the morning, so I better get to bed.

Goodnight all.

Pray for the Bridges

My heart aches tonight for Matt & Andrew Bridges and their family.

Matt and Andrew lost their father, Nelson, in a horrible accident that occurred this evening. The Bridges are very special to our family. Matt and Andrew were two of the most faithful students in Josh's youth ministry in Amarillo, and Matt took Josh's place as youth minister when we moved to Fort Worth. Over the years, we came to know the rest of the family, and we grew to love them as well. Nelson was one of the kindest men you'd ever meet, and he always had a smile on his face. He will truly be missed.

I am asking that you please pray for the Bridges family.
