Noah loves the refrigerator. It doesn't matter what he is doing, if he hears it open, he'll drop what he is doing and crawl over to the fridge. He doesn't really care what is inside the fridge; he just loves swinging the door. Noah gets pretty darn mad when I make him close the door, so most of the time I try to grab what I need really quickly and close it before he can get over to it.
Tonight I was getting something out of the fridge, and of course Noah came crawling over as soon as he heard it open. But this time, he wasn't as interested in the door as he usually is. No, Noah had his eye on something else tonight.
Noah found himself a Diet Dr. Pepper! Apparently he is quite fond of mommy's favorite drink.
Isn't he so cute trying to drink from the can?! Look a little bit closer at the picture.

"How do you get this thing open!?"
He can play with the can all he wants, but let's just hope he doesn't get addicted to Diet Dr. Pepper like his mommy!
Noah has several things he loves to get into around here.
1. Once he started crawling, Noah found out how to open the kitchen cabinets in no time. And guess what his favorite cabinet to open is? The cabinet with all the cleaning stuff. I don't care if he gets into the pots and pans, but the cabinet with the cleaning supplies is a no-no. And Noah knows that cabinet is off limits, but does he care? Oh no. Because he knows he isn't supposed to get into it, he does. Our bar stools now have a permanent residence in front of the cabinets until I get something to lock those things up!
2. Take a look at this picture. Remember seeing the decorative item in the very left corner from "Our New Home" blog?
Well, Noah loves to bang it against the wall, so most of the time you will find it up on top of the glass table. I knew when I was decorating that he would probably get into it, but didn't realize it would become one of his favorite things to play with.
3. Noah loves the lamps in our living room. They are kind of wobbly anyway, but when Noah gets his hands on them, you'd better not get too close because that lamp is coming down on you. I always look at him as his little hand is tightly clinched around the pole and say, "no-no Noah," but that lamp is swinging back and forth before I can even finish saying his name.
4. Here's another thing Noah loves to get into:
As you can see from this picture, he managed to squeeze his little body past my barricade so that he could play with the tree's fake grass or moss or whatever it is. I have to say this is probably his favorite thing to get into. He loves to play with that stuff, and you can imagine how messy it gets.

Noah has officially found his "four wheel drive" switch. That is to say, he's officially crawling around on all fours!
And I think it is the cutest thing I've ever seen. I can't help but smile when I watch him crawl around. Over the past month or two Noah has become a pretty skilled army-crawler, but recently he decided it was time to get up on all fours, and he did it without any problem!
Noah hasn't completely given up the army crawl. He stills uses it when he wants to get somewhere really quickly. I don't know why, but Noah is infatuated with Einstein's water bowl. There have been so many times that we have heard a splashing noise come from the kitchen, and we'll find Noah and the floor covered in Einstein's slobber water. It's a daily battle to keep Noah out of Einstein's water bowl. It is so funny because Noah will spot the bowl and start crawling towards it like his diaper is on fire, and he will be laughing the whole way. Most of the time we catch him before he gets to the bowl, but occasionally he's a sneaky little boy and gets there before we notice. He definitely keeps us busy around here, but we wouldn't trade it for anything.
I should have posted this one about a month ago, but as you all know, packing and moving kinda consumed my every waking moment and ounce of energy for a couple of weeks. So I am trying my best to get caught up!
What an active little guy we have around here! I'm not lying when I say Noah is ALL over the place. Needless to say, we have had to baby proof the house. And let me tell you, those stupid plug covers are almost impossible to get out once they are in there. We decided to spend an extra dollar or two to buy some fancy plug covers with a button that helps pop them out. Of course, it probably won't be long before Noah figures out how to press that button. Oh the joys of baby proofing!
One evening I was giving Noah a bath, and he was having fun as usual playing with his rubber ducky and plastic cup. All of a sudden I looked up and saw the little ducky and cup floating at the end of the tub. Noah had enough of those boring toys.
It was time to explore! Noah began to pull himself up to his knees and even up on his feet as he held on to the side of the tub. Let's just say, since that night rubber ducky and the plastic cup haven't been as interesting as they use to be. Pulling himself up on the side of the tub is WAY more fun!

Noah has been on the move for about a month now. One thing I just love about little Noah is that he is on his own schedule. He is such a laid back little guy, and he does things when he is good and ready. In Amarillo, all the babies in the church nursery were on the move, but not Noah. He would sit in one place, happily playing with a toy while all the other babies crawled or walked around him.
Well...as soon as we started packing to move and things were all over the floor, Noah decided there were too many things to discover to just stay in one place. He quickly learned he could actually move his body to get something from across the room. And he sure can move fast when he wants something! It was Noah's time to shine... finally!
I didn't think it would be long before he was up on all fours, but nope, Noah prefers the army crawl. If it ain't broke why fix it, right?
Josh and I have just loved watching Noah "move it." What a blessing it is to see Noah discover his ability to crawl. There are so many new discoveries Noah is making each and every day, and I look forward to sharing them with you!
I think our lives are about to change! Ever since Noah was born he hated tummy time.
This is the reaction we got every time we put Noah on his tummy. I'm telling you, this boy knows what he wants and doesn't want, and it is not difficult to figure out.
Seven months later he has still disliked being on his tummy, well, until recently. Over the past month he has been rolling all over the place! It's amazing how quick he can move. He will be on his blanket playing with his toys and the next thing you know he is scrounging through Einstein's toys trying to decided which one to play with. He is starting to spend a lot more time on his tummy and seems to even enjoy it now! I think he is beginning to realize the endless possibilities of tummy time. Not only is he rolling all over the place, he is starting to get on all fours! I'm pretty sure Noah is about to be on the move!
Whoa!? Are we ready for this? Ready or not here he comes!
