Okay, it's about time to clear something up.
It is driving me bonkers!
My intention in writing this mini tutorial is
not to make anyone feel dumb, I just have to
write this, or I'm gonna pull all my hair out. :)
Pinterest is the best website ever. Agreed?
Seriously, props to whoever created it.
So anyway, what's the problem you ask?
Inaccurate linking
Let's go over it.
First, I want you to take a minute
and visit this lovely blog:
Okay, now I want you to visit this specific link:
I'm sure you see where I'm getting at.
One is the direct link to the main blog/website, and the other is
a direct link to a specific Halloween craft on that same blog.
The second type of link example {like the picture below} is
what needs to be added to the blank box when pinning a link.
So then when someone clicks the pinned link {image},
they are taken to the exact source.
Note: to get the direct link, just click on the
title of the blog post and then copy the URL.
I can't tell you the number of times I've clicked on a
pinned image to get details about a project or recipe, and
was directed to the main blog where I had to either:
a.) use the search engine
or
b.) scroll, scroll, scroll, next page, scroll, scroll, scroll, next page,
scroll, scroll, scroll, next page. Oh whatever! I give up!
Is this making any sense?
If you have any questions, please let me know.
Hope this helps and please, please pass it along! :)
