AJ's Partay

We've had a really great {busy} weekend!
Today we went to Noah's friend, AJ's, birthday party.
Noah and AJ's were born only a couple weeks apart;
they are definitely two peas in a pod. They're too cute!

Anyway, AJ's party was at the park {forgot the name..} today, and
it was hands down the best park I've ever been to.
The park had a mini water area for the kids to run around and play.
Noah and AJ had a blast running through the water.

And of course, it wasn't long before they were soaked head to toe!
Here are some of my favorite pictures!

The water was set to stop at certain points, obviously,
so it doesn't run all day long. Anyway, every time the water
stopped, Noah would sign "more." He was having too much fun!

Photobucket

I don't know why, but this picture makes me laugh.

AJ and that tongue. haha

Noah & AJ's favorite part of the water area was sliding down
the whale's tail. They were having a blast!

I think we may have found the perfect location
for Noah's 3rd birthday party. Such a fun place!

Speaking of, I need to get busy and
post his 2nd birthday pics!

Thank you AJ and Lindsey for inviting us!
We had lots of fun!

p.s. Happy Birthday Uncle Joseph! We are
thinking of you today. Miss you!

Fun at Ian's

Today Noah and I went over to Laura & Ian's
new house to play! We had so much fun with our friends.

Photobucket

The weather was perfect.

Photobucket

So we put the boys in their shark swim shorts
and let them play around in the backyard and swim.

Photobucket

And there were bubbles too!!
Noah loved them! He was a busy, busy boy
the whole time we were over there.

Photobucket

Laura & Ian-- precious!

Photobucket

My little sweetie.

Photobucket

Poor little Ian was teething
while we were over there. No fun!
Those darn teeth!

Photobucket

Noah loved the kiddie pool. He has never
been in one before, so this was a fun new
experience for him.

Photobucket

Our attempt at a picture of the boys together. Haha.

Photobucket

What a great afternoon we had with
you both! Thank you for having us over!
We need to do it again soon!

Home Ec Projects # 2 & 3

Have I mentioned I'm addicted to sewing?
Totally addicted.
I.can't.stop.making.things.

Home Ec is the best!
I am learning so much, and
am having lots of fun doing it.

So, today I have two new projects
to share with you!

First up..

Photobucket

I had fun with this project, and I couldn't be
more happy with the way the napkins turned out.

I made 4 single sided & 4 double sided napkins,
but I ended up not following directions exactly {oops}.
I didn't use the ric-rac or zigzag stitches just because
I liked the look of the napkins without them.
{I have been practicing the skills though.. :)}

These napkins took me forever to complete.
I never imagined it would take me two
evenings to finish, but it did, and I was
really, realllly happy to be finished with them.

Aren't the fabrics fabulous?!
Perfect for Fall.

Up next...

Photobucket

This project was so much fun! My favorite so far. Probably
because it only took me one night to complete! Haha.

I must admit though, I almost had a panic attack
when I came to the end of the project and thought I
had sewn up the sides where I was supposed to
pull my ribbon through.

Oh, I freaked.

Then Josh pointed out to me that I was being an
idiot and that the sides were not in fact sewn together.

Anyway, I am having so much fun!
I can't wait to get started on Project #4!

Photobucket

p.s. Have you ever heard of Grooveshark?
I love it!! It is similar to Pandora, but way better!
Check it out.. I'm pretty sure you will love it too!

1st Day of MDO

This face shows perfectly how our morning
went. Noah was a little grump. I mean, he was so
grumpy, he refused to eat his Flintstone vitamin
{something he would never do!}.

Photobucket

So, getting him to smile this morning before
heading to Mother's Day Out was not...

Photobucket

...gonna

Photobucket

...happen.

Photobucket

But all it took was a little car ride over to the church, because
once we arrived, Noah was a happy little guy. Stinker!

Headed to school...

Photobucket

Once we arrived, we got Noah checked in,
and headed on over to his classroom.

But he did not want to go to school.
My heart broke listening to his cries as I stood in the
hallway filling out paperwork. It was so hard leaving him.

I felt so bad..

But, I could see he was in good hands, and
I knew once he started playing, he would be okay.

And he was okay.
I came a little bit early to pick him up,
and as I was walking to his room, I met one of
his teachers in the hallway. She told me
how good Noah was the whole time, and that it
didn't take him long to calm down once I had left.

What a relief to hear her say that!

And guess what Mr. Noah was doing
when I looked in his room? He was laying
flat on his tummy taking a nap! There were
kids playing all over the room, and Noah was
sound asleep on his blanket. I couldn't believe it!

His teacher told me he laid down for a nap
without any problems and that she patted his back
for maybe a few minutes and he was out.
Poor guy was sleepy!

Overall, I think his first day of
Mother's Day Out was a success.

And my day, well, it was wonderful!
Of course, I missed my little man,
but it sure was nice to have some "me" time.
And I got so much accomplished-- it was great!

Yay for Mother's Day Out!

Mother's Day Out

Photobucket

Today is Noah's first day to go to Mother's Day Out. I'm so thankful for the one available spot we were able to grab {yippy!}; I know it will be a good thing for the both of us. But I'm a little sad this day has come... I'm not sure I'm ready for Noah to go to "school" just yet. I'm gonna miss the little guy... :(

Music to my Ears

Most of the time, Noah favors the word "Dadda."
But this morning, his new favorite word was "Momma!"
And it was so funny because the way he was saying it
almost sounded like he had a foreign accent. It was oh so cute!

Of course, Josh was trying to get him to say, "Dadda," but
Noah wasn't having any of it. He wanted to say, "Momma!"

Melts my heart every time I watch it. :)
